About The Mind Shift Nuggets

Hi there! I am Juana, a Colombian living in Texas since 2005. I am a mom of 3 amazing kids and a very smart German Shepherd. For over 15 years, I worked as a Project Manager for an architectural company. I always believed that having a career and being a good employee was the way to create a fulfilling life. However, in 2018, my whole life changed. I felt very unhappy and started questioning my career, my marriage, and my entire existence. That year, for the first time, I heard the phrase "Highest Self" on a podcast with the same name by Sahara Rose. She talked about our dharma and how we should find our purpose in life to truly live a fulfilling life, and that was exactly what I was missing: "a purpose." From that moment, my journey of personal development began.

I delved into mindset growth books, podcasts, and various social media pages in search of ways to find that purpose and learn how to do it. However, the process was difficult and I felt lost, confused, depressed, disappointed, and frustrated. I couldn't figure it out amidst the responsibilities of saving my marriage, raising my kids, and keeping up with my job. Despite feeling destroyed inside, I had to accept that the concept of "Highest Self" was not fitting for me at the time. So, I put it aside and continued with my "normal" unfulfilling life.

Then COVID hit, and the world changed dramatically. I found myself working from home, homeschooling my kids, and trying to maintain a positive vibe amid all the chaos. In 2022, I had to assist my husband with his logistics business and also took on a part-time job as a delivery driver. The best part of my job was listening to podcasts, such as the Life Coach School with Brooke Castillo, On Purpose with Jay Shetty, and the Manifestation Babe with Kathrin Zenkina. Listening to these podcasts reignited my interest in personal growth, manifestation techniques, and the mind-body connection—specifically, the relationship between our thoughts, feelings, and actions. However, once again, I got stuck on my own beliefs and hit rock bottom, experiencing a deep depression that affected my family and relationships.

But, as they say, "when you hit rock bottom, you can only go up from there," and that's what I did. It was like my soul received the last nudge. Remember the phrase from Paulo Coelho's book "The Alchemist": "When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it." That's exactly what happened. I started receiving signs from the Universe, such as posts and online courses on social media, inspiring and eye-opening podcast interviews. It felt like the Universe was telling me to keep learning and listening because something was coming for me, Juana. So, I continued my journey of personal growth, and that's when the idea to create a blog telling my story and sharing all the resources I used in my quest to find my purpose in life came to me. But I didn't know how to start.

Once again, the Universe helped me by presenting the exact courses I needed to achieve that goal, and that's when "The Mind Shift Nuggets" was created.

Through this journey of self-awareness, self-development, and self-love, I searched for answers and ways to change my mindset, grow into a new level of consciousness, and unlock my power. Along the way, I encountered multiple resources that aided me in this process.
